Consumer umbrellas fail on a commercial patio in weeks, and they fail dangerously: snapped ribs, inverted canopies, bases skating across concrete. Commercial umbrellas are engineered differently at every point: thicker aluminum or fiberglass ribs, double wind vents that bleed gusts instead of catching them, marine-grade fabrics that hold color through a full season of UV, and hubs built for staff who open and close them twice a day, every day. Our program covers 37 umbrella lines across market and cantilever styles, and we quote each one with its correctly weighted base, because an umbrella sold without its ballast math is half a product.
What we source
Commercial Patio Umbrellas
An umbrella is the only piece of furniture on your patio that can become a projectile. We supply commercial umbrellas built and ballasted so the only thing they move is your shade line.

What we check before we quote
Ballast sized to the canopy, not the budget
Underweighted bases are the most common umbrella mistake we're asked to fix after the fact. Freestanding umbrellas need dramatically more ballast than through-table mounts, and windy corridors need more still. We size the base to the canopy and the site, then quote them together.
The daily open-close cycle
Restaurant umbrellas cycle hundreds of times a season, which is what kills consumer cranks and pulleys. We spec hubs and lift systems rated for commercial duty, and we'd rather talk you into fewer, better umbrellas than a patio of annual replacements.
Wind policy beats wind rating
No umbrella is rated to stay open in a storm. The honest spec includes a close-at threshold your staff can follow, and we'll help you set one based on your exposure; a rooftop and a walled courtyard are different planets.
Questions we get a lot
What size umbrella does each patio table need?
Canopy diameter should clear the table by about 2 feet per side: a 30" table wants a 6.5 ft canopy, a standard four-top wants 7.5 ft, and pushed-together table groups justify 9–11 ft. Bigger is not automatically better: oversized canopies fight wind harder and crowd service lanes.
How much do commercial patio umbrellas cost?
Most market-style umbrellas we quote land between $180 and $700 depending on size, frame, and fabric, with the correct base adding $60–$250. Cantilever units for lounge zones run higher. The cheap end of the consumer market simply doesn't exist in our program, because it doesn't survive a commercial season.
Can we get umbrellas printed with our logo?
Yes. Canopy printing and custom fabric colors are available on most lines at modest minimums. It adds a few weeks to the lead time, so branded orders should land in your plan a season ahead, ideally over the winter.
How long should a commercial umbrella last?
Frames should give you five-plus seasons; solution-dyed canopies typically look presentable for three to five before fade or wear argues for recovering. Most of our lines take replacement canopies, so year four is a fabric order, not a whole new umbrella.
