Duty rating at every layer: a steel mechanism tested to thousands of conversion cycles instead of hundreds, a reinforced deck that takes daily opening, contract-rated upholstery, and a mattress designed to be replaced. Put a residential sleeper in a busy suite and the mechanism usually fails inside two years, with a guest on it.

A queen sleeper typically needs about 90" of wall and 100" of clear floor when open. Measure the open footprint against the parlor before committing, since the coffee table has to go somewhere. Where the room is tight, a full sleeper often serves better than a queen that blocks the path to the bathroom.
